@alanbarker2279 What a great politician's answer. Nothing to do with what I asked. Great display of character.

She got her degrees from the East India Trading University.
2
@straven479 If you're splitting between religious people and secular people, 53% is in fact most. By a small margin but nonetheless.
2
@rorykoehler9018 Look out! They've got shoulder holsters for their radios!
2
"Remembered?" What do you mean by that?
2
When have Muslims marched with Isis flags?
2
@jim-es8qk The person trying to tell me that famous science-FICTION novel 1984 is actually a historical account is also trying to tell me I have no understanding of European history. You talk big so let's see what you actually know. Where and what year did the events depicted in the book take place? Give me some names of those involved. Show you actually know what you're talking about.
2
@TheLuketh1990 It's what anyone with a brain can recommend. And since that's the best advice to ever come out of Peterson...
2
@doghouseriley4732 Interesting rant. Peterson's "basic rules" are exactly that. You'll find the same advice given in a plethora of self-help publications, schools or just down the pub. No-one is denying their value. But recognising their value does not make one profound and wise. You said yourself, his BEST advice is that... life is tough? Something that most people learn on their first day in the schoolyard, if they weren't fortunate enough to learn it from their parents prior. Something so self-evident that to hold it up as a revelation is, frankly, a bit embarrassing. So, does Peterson have a solution for misguided and misplaced hatred? Because you state so confidently that a critic of Peterson's does nothing in their life to help anyone. That's such a daft statement that speaks volumes to your ignorance of other people and the lives they lead. How do you know if someone does something helpful and of value to others? What insight do you have to make that judgement?
2
Could they have done anything more disrespectful? Fighting. On Armstice day. At a memorial for the dead. And they have the nerve to call themselves patriots? They're pathetic.
2
Its important to remember, they don't know what these words mean. They just think they're insults.
2
@iShriek Pot, kettle?
2
What would it look like if our government stopped with the delaying tactics and actually processed these migrants or made sensible arrangements with our European neighbours instead of madcap schemes with Rwanda? But mostly I think you've got a causation and correlation problem and what you're really highlighting is the effects that cutting services and playing to markets like housing has on a nation.
2
@songsmith31a It's OUR history, chap. What targets would prefer, other country's history? You clean your own house first.
2
I'm seeing too many people making arguments excusing greed as a motivator. If the "best minds" of the country won't be moved for anything less than six digit salaries, I think we have a very different idea of "best".
2
@jackkruese4258 He's turning left and right, looking to be welcomed in the manner he deems suitable and reacts very aggressively to criticism.
2
Also from many African and Middle Eastern States. And the Indes. Anyone we could, really.
2
What about the working class disdain for a bunch of morons who make the rest of us look bad?
2
Technically no. He would have been born in a time long before Turkey was a thing. But yes, basically from that part of the world.
2
One more time with proper syntax?
2
I think you've taken the word "race" far too literally.
2
@TalkingPoint773 Sounds like someone's convinced you that there's an actual competition at play. You wanna spend less time listening to racists.
2
@luciusdali4762 So which property developer do you work for?
2
Then they can sit honestly around the negotiating table and work out a good deal. All Starmer is doing is making it clear that he won't support workers if Labour come to power under him.
2
@ron88303 Not relevant though.
2
What about individuals who aren't part of a "traditional" family unit? Are they pushed to the margins?
2
Looking at who's backing them, they'd have Braverman on the next cart. As much as I despise her, I'd take no satisfaction from that.
2
@glasgovipsolara Pardon the cliché, but they'll take power here over my dead body. I'm sure they wouldn't have much issue with those terms, of course, but hey...
2
And who can blame them? We should have solidarity for the Chagossians. For all the ways in which successive governments have shafted the British people, the Chagossians have been treated horrendously and should have our support.
2
Good stuff, please try and encourage friends and family to also stop using Amazon. Not only are they terrible for their workers, their fleets of drivers are often dangerous, they create an extra level of carbon footprint and their whole business model is destroying local business. If people want to know why their town centres are inundated with barbers, nail salons and coffee shops, it's because they're pretty much the only thing Amazon can't monopolise.
2
Because whenever men have marked their own homework they've been consistently honest...
2
How?
2
@@hopefulbutworriedIt's when the Andrew Tate fanboys showed up to defend him, they're really not helping his case.
2
What are you trying to imply?
2
@AlwaysEngland Why don't you think our Tory government are conservatives and why do you think Reform will do better?
2
Difference between sexuality and religion is that one is a choice, the other is just part of who you are.
2
@sss-ol3dl No, I'm saying I haven't and also that you haven't. So we're both speculating on what a heavily biased source has said about a book neither of us have read. And I KNOW you haven't read it, otherwise you'd be specifically citing his error and giving context. Instead, you're referring to someone else. While it's inarguable that Ali is doing this interview to promote his new book, the contents of his book are only relevant to this discussion if he draws directly upon them. Which he does not do. So what parts of Churchill's "legacy", discussed in this interview, are factual errors or sourced from Peaky Blinders?
2
@stewie7338 No, dead wrong. I think the concept of "British values" is deeply flawed as its almost wholly subjective. That's the point I'm getting at by asking people to explain what they think British values are. You, for example, cited values formalised by European thinkers but ultimately representative of what the vast majority of people want in their lives, regardless of where they're from. So calling them "British values" is either short-sighted or just plain arrogant. And I pointed out that there are people in this very video expressing conservative Christian values that are contrary to what you're claiming.
2
I see the danger of folks like you trying to twist reality to make yourself look like heroic underdogs.
2
Yup, Green party.
2
Based on what I've seen, police only got involved when the St George lot tried moving on Westminster, which is the same thing the police would have done regardless of who it was. So NOTHING like either of the examples you gave.
2
@drcommonsense1 Don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty firm believer in ACAB. But I've observed footage from numerous "patriotic" events like this and there's a strong trend of inebriated and frustrated men turning up to beat their chest and get into shoving matches.
2
@MattBooth So do you think worker unions are far left?
2
@Loneman_OG They're just a tool who wants to sound like an authority on something they've got no real clue about. So they make lofty statements, then act childish when it gets holes poked in it.
2
@eyesodd Because that's all the Empire did in India, stick up a few buildings?
2
@brianmiles5237 Not sure you're living in the same UK as the rest of us. Good luck with that.
2
The first world war was an industrial genital measuring contest where young men were lied to and their lives thrown away for nothing. The second world war was fought because tyrants used social scapegoats to offer a simple solution to complicated problems. Something worth remembering.
2
It's the US so probably as little as you'd expect.
2
That first chap focused on people's sexual instincts... I think he's really, really telling on himself.
2
@hardy21ish Good one!
