  2. The sex/gender distinction is pretty simple. The former is your physical form, the latter is a societal construct or categorisation.

  3.  @chrisjennings6539  The second half of your comment suggests you've already made your mind up and aren't going to agree. But simply put, a social construct is something that exists because we agree it exists. Just like money only has value if all parties involved agree that it does, the roles and expectations assigned to gender only apply because a society at large agrees they do. This is why you can find notably different attitudes regarding gender in different societies.
