I believe the Travis got too close and stepped into the magnetic field of the ship's contact with the ground and was shocked by it, the alien shocked that he would be foolish enough to come that close picked him up took him to the medical part of the ship and did some examinations probably treated him, if they wanted to abduct them and keep them there's no way he would have got off that ship I think they treated him and release him

  5. This is his recollection remember he did try to talk to the people but nobody responded to him and it's not unlikely that that some of the aliens may look exactly like us we heard about them before but they are perfect visually looking people
