Hunter has a cult of followers who really knew nothing about her illicit and illegal behaviors. It just seemed that Hunter is charming, a woman of color and a judge. That's all her cult needed to know. No one was interested in to getting to the bottom of the situation and her apparent fiefdom of a court. And, considering all of her going limp on purpose her cult really bought into that bullcrap of a move.
