  2. I'm not sure where the divide between downstate and upstate is. Albany is upstate for sure. I went to college SUNY@Plattsburgh, which is way far upstate and frigging freezing. Most of NY state, regardless of up or down state, is beautiful any way. I guess Buffalo would be the exception and is nasty.
