  1. Goebbels had lots of experience on being able to pull the wool over the eyes of his countrymen. I mean who would buy the Allies were going to start fighting the Rooskys? Patton maybe.

  2.  @karlheinzvonkroemann2217  In retrospect, easy to say. While many knew what might happen, they also wanted to pick up the pieces. Take the Marshall Plan, it saves western Europe.
