  3. Wrong. Taiwan needs to declare independence. It's the ROC that does not need to declare its independence. Taiwan and the ROC are two very different things. The term Taiwan stands for the name of the main island of the country ROC. The ROC has many islands. The term Taiwan should never be used on equal basis as the ROC since it only create confusion and is the key component for political manipulation by the DPP. Up until 2007 our license plates read "Taiwan province." How does "Taiwan" go from a province to a country without a referendum or declaration of independence?

  4.  @robwon8378  Who is talking about "another" declaration of independence when there was nothing to begin with? The ROC had a seat in the UN until 1971 before Kissinger made the deal with Zhou on July 10th 1971. Before then, the US did not recognize the PRC. When was the ROC ever an "independent" entity? In case you didn't know, a de jure state (PRC) can still have authority over a de facto state without actually having physical control of the state. Until independence of "Taiwan" is declared, there is no such thing as "Taiwan" as an independent country or territory.

  7.  @robwon8378  I don't think you (like many of the brainwashed Taiwanese) understand how this works. The Chinese civil war between the KMT and the CCP never ended. There was no peace treaty signed between the two parties. We are essentially still at war. Before 1971, the US did not recognize the PRC government. Everything changed during the Nixon administration. Go read the declassified transcript between Kissinger and Zhou. Kissinger clearly stated he "does not see Taiwan's status as uncertain" and for Taiwan to return to China is a "matter of time." This entire trip was done in secret and the entire cabinet members of the Nixon administration was told not to comment on this issue other than referring to what's already written in the One China Policy stated during the Shanghai communiqué of 1972. It read, "the United States acknowledges that Chinese on either side of the Taiwan Strait maintain there is but one China and that Taiwan is a part of China. The United States does not challenge that position." The US wants to brainwash you into thinking only the word "acknowledge" was used when Kissinger clearly said otherwise to the Communist Chinese. Nixon knew the American people would not accept what he did that's why as part of damage control, President Carter formed the Taiwan relations act after he declared the normalization of relations with the PRC. Kissinger fucked the ROC big time and gave our sovereignty to the CCP and this is why the PRC is a de jure state that has legal authority over the ROC until the ROC declares independence. The PRC wanted the ROC back decades ago because Zhou specifically told Kissinger as part of the deal to normalize relations that the US must recognize Taiwan is an inseparable part of China. Go read and do research if you don't know what you are talking about. The ROC, or Taiwan, or whatever you want to call it, don't get to just "walk away" from a civil war and "declare itself independent" (even though there was never any declartion) lol. For you brainwashed people (mostly DPP shills) it's hilarious how uninformed you are about this issue.
