  1. You do realize what you are saying is contradictory in itself. "Taiwan is the only territory owned by the Republic of China" and "Taiwan does not belong to China" cannot exist at the same time. "China" the country split into two different branches after the civil war into the PRC and the ROC. Both until this date still claim to be the legitimate ruling government of China except the US decided to grant that status to the PRC in 1971. If what you are saying was true the two are two separate countries then why during 1949-1971 the PRC, according to the US, did not have the right to "self-determination" ? In fact the US wouldn't even recognize the PRC as China for 22 years. You need to understand the facts and the source of the problem, which is the US controlling the narrative whenever it suits them.

It includes territories such as the Taiwan island, Kinmen islands, Matsu islands, Penghu island and some other smaller islands. Taiwan is simply one of many ROC territories. It's only being manipulated by politicians to replace our country. It's like saying New York is a country.

  8.  @rty6174  BS. "Taiwan" refers to one single island when the ROC refers to the entire "country." Under the One China Policy that 130+ countries recognize, "Taiwan" is part of China. So are you the "Real China" or are you "Part of China" ? You can't have the cake and eat it too so choose.

True, however the only problem with that statement is, when Kissinger went on his secret meeting with the communist Chinese on July 10th 1971, Kissinger made a deal with the communist Chinese to give the "legal authority" of the ROC to the PRC. ROC meaning "all territories the ROC claimed to hold." This includes Taiwan, Kinmen, Matsu, Penghu, and Taiping. Before Kissinger's trip, the ROC, supported by the US government as the only legitimate Chinese government, had "legal authority" over the PRC despite never had control of the PRC after the KMT treated to the Taiwan island. You don't need to have physical control over a territory in order to have "legal authority" of the place. That's what de jure and de facto means.

Those to be elected by Chinese citizens residing abroad; and 6. Those to be elected by occupational groups.   16. The PRC is the de jure government of China, while the ROC "was" the de facto government of China. From 1949-1971, the ROC had "legal claim" over the PRC due to the overwhelming support of the West led by the US except they lost their physical control over the PRC. I remind you to learn the facts.

Even until today they don't dare to write Taiwan in Chinese on our passport. Why? Because they know as soon as they do that mainland will make a move because even the US officially says Taiwan is a part of China.

  21.  @singyc  What "international law" ??? During the Qing dynasty in 1684 Kangxi Emperor named Taiwan Island "台灣府“ under his rule. This is when majority of the Chinese Hans started migrating to the Chinese island of Taiwan. This territory was ceded to imperial Japan for 50 years when the Qing lost the first sino Japanese war. Sun Yet Sen overthrew Qing and created the Republic of China in 1911 then formed the KMT. During the Cairo declaration with CKS, Churchill and Roosevelt, It was agreed imperial Japan would return all stolen land (including Formosa) back to the ROC. In 1998 there was even a "Provincial governor" Song Chu Yu appointed in the Chinese "Province" of Taiwan. The very same Republic of China still stands today with the original KMT just a different crew so since when did "international law" decide if "Taiwan" has ever belonged to "China" or not? Are you telling me Kangxi Emperor is "Taiwanese" not "Chinese" ?? 🤣🤣🤣

Why does the ROC adheres to the Taiwan relations act and the six assurances? Why did Jimmy Carter signed the Shanghai communique that said Taiwan is a part of China and will only have unofficial relations with Taiwan? Why wasn't the PRC recognized as the legal China before 1971? Simple. Because the US was the dominant power and whatever they say nobody dares to object. Except in 2024 the world is no longer unipolar.
