@FriendlyCroock eternal salvation is a free gift from God to whosoever believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who turns down God's gift will spend eternity in everlasting punishment. The devil wants you to think God's punishment is not that bad but that same devil will be punished right along with everyone else who rejects Jesus Christ. @FriendlyCroock I just listed verses about hell, these are not "suggestions" this is what happens. Go read the story of the rich man and Lazarus and you'll see exactly what happens to anyone who dies unsaved, "everlasting punishment".
