The Car Care Nut

Comments by "DonnieV" (@donniev8181) on "The BEST and WORST Modern Car Features" video.
My new Camry has a good old fashioned foot operated emergency brake and a physical key. Those were two things I specifically wanted in a car.

It's weird how people think they know better than a 50 year veteran mechanic lol. How many people has he helped in those 50 years I wonder?

@abdul-kabiralegbe5660 Yeah, I figured if I bought a new Toyota Camry now, then if taken care of, it'll hopefully last me for the rest of my life. I thought about getting the hybrid, but I did not want to deal with the potential of the hybrid system going out 17 years down the road. I can say I bought the last of the naturally aspirated Toyota Camrys. Also I definitely wanted a regular 8 speed transmission.

@JohnSmith-ti2kp dude cmon, he's a 70 year old youtuber that puts out multiple videos per day. Catchy click bait titles pull views in, views equal money. You need to remember it's his job.

@octaviodominguez7772 quit with the pathetic strawman arguments, you are putting words in another person's mouth.
2
@octaviodominguez7772 dude, EVERYONE KNOWS he makes clickbait titles to draw in more viewers and if your job was YOUTUBE, you would too! Quit dogging a guy for doing his job!
2
@octaviodominguez7772 I agree but you shouldn't go ripping on someone for simply making some clickbait titles. I'm not a huge fan but that dude has helped countless scores of people with hus channel. I think some misleading titles is irrelevant in the scheme of things. Need to remember, he tries to put forth the cheapest ways of keeping your car road worthy. Honestly, I have a lot of respect for anyone that has half a century of experience in any field.

@NotNowCato1254 if you are braking at all, it shuts off adaptive cruise control.
2
You can always use standard cruise instead.

@johndoe-fy6jz dude, I own a Toyota, wtf are you talking about

Taking away the transmission dipstick is another negative imo. I read somewhere that backup cameras have reduced backup accidents by 30%. Start stop technology aka starter killer!
1
@Prepare2Survive rear view parking cameras have reduced backup accidents by over 30%.
1
@Prepare2Survive yes but in this instance, it's a good thing and actually protects the consumer.
1
@Prepare2Survive again, I never said you said that! Quit with the bs strawman arguments, the fact of the matter is sometimes the govt mandating auto manufacturers to do something is a good thing!
1
@Prepare2Survive your opinion is irrelevant, our government is supposed to look out for the best for the citizenry, dullard. That's literally one of the reasons why we created it. Mandating corporations do something for the betterment of the country is exactly their job, corporations and the citizenry are two totally different things.
1
@Prepare2Survive I suppose you dolts are upset that the FMVSS mandate automobile manufacturers put seatbelts and airbags in cars as well??
1
Aka starter killer
1
Wouldn't you be braking anyways on a curve?
1
No transmission dipstick would be one of mine.
1
Aren't you usually braking when getting onto an exit anyway?

@forester057 when the debate is lost slander becomes the tool of the loser.
