  2. Yes! All the boys and girls of each grade would compete in several different events, the top three in each would receive ribbons.

  3. We used to have a sports day in elementary school at the end of the year, it was called Field Day. All the boys/girls would compete against the other boys/girls in their grade in like 5 or 6 different sports. Each grade would participate, and the top 3 would receive 1st/2nd/3rd place ribbons.
