The main issue on our side is i think we were looking at them in the eyes of a western power. minimal corruption and functional. i think they have decent ideas and programs, but they seem to get their funding stolen by oligarchs leading to mass differences in what we see at military parades and demonstrations vs what they actually use on the field.
