  1. Party politics enables all shades of ideology; surely that's what they are all about? Small minority interest groups that wish to rule over everybody else and impose their values, preference or just dominance. Democracy doesn't need politicial parties - they enable authoritarianism of all flavours because that's what the wannabe rulers/aristocracy wish to maintain. Richard is complaining about what the 'others' do with authoritarian power but still wants to use the same model to impose his righteous views when the opportunity arises.
