  1. Yes - it's a Thos Sowell argument - politicians tell us about how they will help one demographic no mention of the damage that might be done to others - a very odd attitude in a supposed democracy.

I think Richard needs to check the services and products he uses and explain the new business model that would enable other business types to create them - or admit that he thinks things should have stopped advancing - perhaps in the 60s or 70s? With his experience he could be thinking how to fine-tune what we've got not destroy it for his preferred soviet-isation.

  5. Monopolies/oligoplies are created by the state for the benefit or preference of politicians & their support groups; banking, law etc. It's not 'natural' business practice - unless you can name one of course.
