  1. The idea that people on the whole have some political ideology that they wish to see imposed by the state is just elitist preference. Most of the studies that I've heard about show that the 'political classes' have their own agenda and basically represent themselves. Westminster is an aristocratic maintenance model - careers & status for the weirdos who wish to rule. Freedom for the many is the only ideology that should be prevalent - and the rulers of left/right/centre have resisted for generations and Richard says he will be helping them for the next five years.
