  1. Ukrainians use white "cossack" crosses on their tanks rather than yellow and blue colours probably for visibility reasons. Many of them turn it into a Balkenkreuz, the German cross used during the two world wars, that inspired the iron cross used today by germany. It is a way to differentiate them from the Russians with a fearfull symbol, as the germans beaten Russia in WWI. A way to say to the russians "we are not your brothers, we are from the West"
