  1. We have absolutely no evidence that people visited Jesus tomb 2000 years ago. On the contrary, Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 and 135, the Jews expelled, a new city built. The sites were « rediscovered » 500 years later.

  4. The Gospels were based on oral and/or written traditions, that probably date back to years following Jesus death, according to several scholars. There is certainly some kernel of truth. Now, for the tomb, there are only conjectures. Was the corpse put in a mass grave, as was common in the time? In a nearby tomb so it does not stay for Passover, as Dr Jams Tabor suggests? In the tomb of a rich Jew, as the gospels say? We cannot have any certainty.

  5. There are hundreds of Christian’s denominations. No wonder they squabble over everything supposedly remaining from Jesus time. No wonder Christian’s feel uncomfortable rubbing their shoulders with « heretics ». It is the same with the Mecca. Not all Muslims worship the same and authorities have to enforce strict rules to avoid troubles. It is not easy to accept others.😊
