@SoloRenegade I fully agree. A software is just a tool, and all designers use them for a long time now. 3D softwares were not a thing when some older aircrafts, like the F-15/16, were designed, though. That's maybe the point here.

@soulsphere9242 quick correction. The F-22 is not the only fighter with supercruise capability. All 'eurocanards' can supercruise (Eurofighter, Grippen and Rafale). And the very definition of supercruise supposes that they can do it with a combat load, for an extended time. And supercruise is useful in two ways, it lowers IR signature, and lowers fuel consumption compared to reheat. A supercruise capable interceptor will have a better loiter time, for example.
