  1. I think Google is trying to get rid of YouTube. They know this approach of "cracking down on ad-blockers" will ultimately fail and Google will use THAT excuse to offload YouTube to someone else. The problem is that YouTube is so embedded in our culture that if it ever folds, it would be a huge loss to everyone on the planet. No, I'm not exaggerating. Google has a long history of dumping projects, apps and sites at the drop of a hat. Is that what's going on here? I hope not.
