  1. What about the other island that appears on that first map? It seems to be called Demar. I think they were both myths as evidence of them, would have been found by now. It could be that sailors spotted other islands like Rockall, which is further north, or even one the Faroe Islands. If they had been mistaken in their navigation, and thought they were further south, closer to Ireland, they could have mistaken one those islands for Brasil
