Their fundamental creedal and methodologic beliefs are clearly in opposition of Orthodox Salafi Sunni Islam. With all honesty, your husband is just a freelance armchair journalist who has little to no knowledge. Yes, it's good to remove stereotypes and fears but with honest journalism and with actual Salafi Sunni Muslims. The majority of the stereotypes and fears have been perpetrated by the Rafidites. For example, suicide bombings were first carried out by the west and then adopted by the Rafidites (Hamas/Iran). Islam doesn't allow suicide bombings because it's strictly forbidden to commit suicide.
