  3. We need a national enquiry in the same way we needed the Post Office scandal to be blown open, only in this case we need it 1000 times more. We need a reckoning with how this happened, and who let it happen. We need heads to roll. Instead of bland assurances that lessons have been learned, we need justice and the emotional catharsis to purge this depravation and shame from our national psyche. And just like the Holocaust, we must never let it be forgotten. Evil buried and ignored allows evil to flourish in the future, unhindered by lessons we refused to learn in the past.
