  2. As horrible as it was what he did at least he didn’t physically violate her, which would make the whole thing much different. Some could even argue self defense, if true. But in this case she wasn’t actively being pursued or harmed, so she could’ve easily went to police and got him arrested. Ofc this isn’t a typical murder situation, so she doesn’t exactly deserve life in prison, but does deserve prison time nonetheless. 5 years sounds a bit lenient, but I don’t think any of us could really judge unless we’ve actually been in that situation ourselves… idk
