Exactly!!! It was an indirect form of self defense. I’m sure she knew that she was gonna die at some point from all the cocktails of drugs; and that killing Deedee was the only way out. She thought police and CPS were going to believe her mom over her if she went to them, and then she would face serious consequences by being even more further abused and isolated than she already was. Think about it, she was already threatening to take the computer away, so she would’ve been stuck by herself 24/7 with NO ONE! 😢This is honestly the only case I’ve ever seen where I actually feel bad for the murderer! 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t know any of those dark details about the bf… I actually felt bad for him up until now bc he seemed like the loving bf who wanted to save the woman he loved from being abused (and eventually killed) by her mother. Then he gets locked away for the rest of his life, just for trying to save hers… But I had no idea he had this dark evil side who rapes and beats up women then tries to rape a dead body!?!? 😳 This whole case now makes sense and answers the big question I had about why they broke up. I thought she used him to kill her mom without getting her hands dirty, since they broke up right afterwards. But now it makes perfect sense why she doesn’t wanna be with him! With all that in mind, I still don’t know how I feel about him getting locked up for life. He def deserved prison time no doubt, but for the rest of his life sounds a bit harsh… He obv has serious mental issues & is a sicko (and again, trying to save his gfs life), it’s really hard to know what is a fair punishment. There’s plenty of ppl who have murdered someone in cold blood where there was NO form self defense whatsoever and they got 20-30yrs, some even less! 🤷‍♀️
