Why is no one talking about the 5 remaining residents?!? Why on earth would they stay there?!!? Knowing any second u can be buried alive, knowing your constantly being exposed to toxic chemicals, and also the fact of only 4 other ppl besides you are there!! So u have to travel to do every little thing like the grocery store, going to work, checking the mail, getting gas, going to a restaurant, etc etc etc. The idea that anyone would chose to live in an abandoned city with nothing to do, no food or resources, and more importantly- the fact of u being swallowed and burned alive at any given moment should be enough of a deterrent!!! Those ppl are obviously insane, and tbh I can’t feel sorry for them when something eventually happens to them 🤷♀️

I find it hard to believe that someone would make a false confession on their death bed... Usually that’s the time where ppl tell the truth cuz they’ve held guilt for all those years. I think the reason his confession was inconsistent was cuz he was drunk when it happened (so he wouldn’t remember all the small unimportant details); and he was really old so he wasn’t thinking all the way straight. Not to mention, memories from decades ago aren’t usually going to be very exact.
I think he crushed up sleeping pills (or some sort of poison) into the peas and carrots and it caused her to pass out. Then dragged her body into the car where he could stage the “suicide or accident” scene. The reason she got her injuries was either from an altercation before she passed out, or from him dropping her while moving her body into the car.
It’s also possible that he beat her up cuz he was mad at her for coming home late. And she decided she wanted out of the relationship and/or was trying to leave to go get medical attention for her broken nose, and for whatever reason she sat in the car for a while and ended up passing out. Maybe she was hesitant to drive knowing how drunk she was, or debating on wether she really wanted to leave him or not. Idk, I’d really like to know what her BAC was tho, cuz I don’t think u could just fall asleep and pass out like that unless u were completely black out hammered. But either way, it’s still his fault cuz he should’ve checked on her knowing she was in the garage for that long, plus potentially driving drunk. And esp after beating her that bad, he should’ve at least made sure she wasn’t going to succumb to her injuries. No one in their right mind would’ve left her in the garage unattended for that long with the car on. It’s extreme neglect, at best.

Another thing I was thinking of is that because she went through 5 pregnancies, that’d be almost 4 years worth of no periods, and since he was the sole breadwinner aka paying for all the groceries, surely he would’ve noticed they were going long periods of time without buying any pads or tampons… And all the times they had sex, how did he not notice (even if she was the type of girl who doesn’t show very much), but the rock hard stomach? Lastly, how could he have not been home during all 5 births?!? As most of us know, labor is a long process of screaming, sweat, and being immobile. So that’s not something you can hide unless you’re either not home or in a separate floor of the house for several hours straight…. The only thing I question is the kids not knowing about the babies.. Why keep it a secret from them and not the husband? Why would 2 parents hide children from their other siblings? The whole thing doesn’t make any sense, that’s for sure!

Child care is NOT 40,000 a year! I’m in CA and it’s less than 10,000 a year per child. And if u have 2 or more and enroll them in the same daycare, u will usually get a discount. If u wanna do it smart u should space them out several years apart (preferably 5) so ur only paying for one kids daycare at a time. However, if u have 2 or more that are close in age, sometimes it’s cheaper to be a stay at home parent. $1,500-1,700 a month for two kids is a LOT imo. So if u had 3 kids, it’d be like $2,200-2,500ish 😳. That’s def not affordable for most ppl as that is a lot of ppls entire salary right there. But anyways, back to my point lol. If ur paying 40,000 a year for child care, you would have to have 4 or more kids all under the age of 5 to be paying that much. And if u chose to have 4-5 kids in a 5 year span, it’s hard for me to feel sorry for you 🤷♀️. Anyone with any common sense wouldn’t have that many kids in such a short timeframe like that, unless they were rich af or something lol.

I think the parents truly believed they were communicating with the CIA cuz they have proven themselves to be uneducated/ignorant/unintelligent just by the way they raised their daughter and NEVER noticing any of her lies over the course of all those years 🤔. They actually thought letting a grown ass woman stay at home all day was a good idea simply bc she had a learning disability🙄. Like wth, There’s ssooo many easy jobs out there she could’ve worked like bagging groceries, a shopping cart collector, a Walmart greeter, maybe even a waitress or a hostess, etc. I mean what we’re they thinking was gonna happen once they got old and died? And they thot being in isolation 24/7 was a good idea too?!!? They literally set her up for failure in every way possible 🤦♀️. And the fact they truly believed the two Billy’s wanted to rape and murder her for no reason speaks volumes in itself. Cuz if they didn’t actually believe janelle was in danger, there would be no motive whatsoever to kill them. I just can’t picture them killing them if they knew she was safe and it was 100% out of janelles pure jealousy...
Even tho they committed murder, I actually feel sorry for them with how much they lacked critical thinking skills and basic common sense. Imagine going through life without having a basic understanding of how things work, and being so easily manipulated like that? I think the parents and the bf truly believed Janelle was in danger for her life, and thought killing them was the only way out. But as dumb as they were, they still should’ve known better and called the police. I wouldn’t be surprised if Janelle manipulated them into not going to the police since she manipulated everything else...🤷♀️😒

From what I understand, pan sexual means u will date anyone regardless if their a man, woman, non binary, or any other of the 67 ‘genders’ they came up with. Being bi means u want strictly a man or a woman, no in between’s- like a man with tits, a non binary, or a trans. So theoretically a bi person wouldn’t date a trans. Makes sense to me, but I feel like most ppl who are bi wouldn’t care about what’s between ur legs vs the way u look. If ur attracted to both men & women, then a ‘woman’ with a dick wouldn’t bother u right? Or someone who’s non binary and looks like both? Idk, just my thoughts 🤷♀️
But any of the other 500 “genders” and “sexualities” are literally just made up shit to get attention or clout. There literally can’t be that many words to describe being attracted to basically everyone lol.

I heard it was bc the grandpa thought he secured the house to where the toddler was unable to leave, therefore wouldn’t have been able to run outside and get to the water. So she thought he was secure in the house with her. I mean, ya The nap was pretty negligent, but I’ve accidentally fallen asleep myself a few times midday with my own children at home, so it can happen to anyone (I don’t have a pool and my house is baby proofed). So the accidentally falling asleep can happen to anyone at any time, and shouldn’t necessarily be judged. What she should be judged for however, is the negligence of the 2nd baby!! If a death of a baby happened on ur watch once already, you should be EXTRA EXTRA hyper vigilant to prevent it from happening again. But that’s a separate issue lol, I was just answering ur question about why she chose to let her watch the other baby. The first one was a tragic accident with a series of unfortunate events, the second one was pure negligence. Had it been the other way around (meaning the death of the girl happened first), they wouldn’t have given her the second chance bc that one showed clear neglect or incompetence.
IMO the gma is developing dementia or Alzheimer’s and is forgetting important things. I feel like if she hated the grandkids she wouldn’t have agreed to watch them 🤷♀️

The fact that the murderer wanted to conceal her identity tells me he had a personal connection. If it was a random killing where they had no connection, there would be no reason to conceal who she was. I’m guessing it was a romantic partner, since statistically that’s the highest possibility. Cuz if it was a random killer, they would’ve prolly found more bodies. And sadly she had no family or friends to report her missing. She must’ve lived with said partner cuz if she lived alone, her landlord would’ve called police for lack of payments. So either A) she lived with a partner with the house under his name B) she had a roommate who’s house was under his/her name or C) she was homeless. I’m guessing it’s with a partner cuz she prolly would’ve showed signs of being homeless like dirt all over her, greasy hair, being malnourished, etc.
It’s also possible she was a drug dealer or prostitute or something who lived in motels and went by a different name (as most of them do) so if anyone of her friends or clients noticed her missing, they prolly wouldn’t report it. (Imagine calling police and saying my prostitute or drug dealer is missing lol). But even if they did report it, they would’ve given the wrong name.
The only way I could see this case ever getting solved is if the partner theory is true and he ends up killing again and getting caught. They still may not know who the woman was, but at least they’d find the killer

@Rob-yu1lw They couldn’t recover it from Camilla’s phone bc she wasn’t backing it up. Since it was “Brayden’s” phone she wasn’t keeping any kind of photos, documents, passwords, etc. on it, therefore no need to back it up. And she deleted the texts weeks or months before they seized the phone. So by then it was already permanently deleted and rewritten from the local drives. Although I’m not extremely experienced, I used to work for a data recovery service and this was a common request. Ppl wanted old info that was deleted months or years ago, and that’s not (normally) possible. The timeframes are between 2 days-2 months, but average is 2 weeks (this was 6yrs ago so the timeframes may have slightly changed, but this case was about 5yrs ago, so lets assume those were the timeframes during the time of this case). And I was told this by the experts who recover the data themselves, that too much time passing makes it not possible.

@bchello2266 Her mic was also crappy, esp in the beginning. I agree with you that he should’ve asked her to repeat herself at least once, but we also have to consider that a crappy mic that’s not working well along with a thick heavy accent is a very bad combination when you’re trying to answer important questions in such a public space, ESP with all that background noise. There’s also the fact that there’s 20-30 other reporters who all have lots of questions and a limited amount of time. It doesn’t really make sense to spend lots of time trying to understand someone who is already having low sound on their mics (or just aren’t talking loud enough), even if they didnt have an accent. So he must’ve felt like it was gonna end up being a waste of time. We are prolly able to hear her a lot better than he was bc the camera was a lot closer to her than he was to her, so he must’ve had an even harder time than we are via video clip.
And the comment about her looking pretty wasn’t creepy bc think about it- if he knows he can’t answer her question, what is he suppose to say? “Sorry can’t understand you, NEXT!” 😂. Like, theres no way to say it nicely unless u follow it with something nice or complimentary. He didn’t wanna be completely rude and disrespectful, so he had to give SOME compliment. And since he doesn’t know her, the only thing he can compliment on was her appearance. Anyways, just trying to answer your questions 😊 lol

As angry and sad as this made me, I was happy to see justice in the end. Too many cases I see where the parent only gets 10yrs or less, or sometimes ONLY probation and ‘parenting classes’ 🙄. Shauna will never see the light of day again, and I can rest easier at the end of this case knowing she can’t have anymore children or abuse anyone else ever again. I hope this haunts her everyday for the rest of her crappy days in prison!!
Btw, what ever happened to Paul? I think Danielle skipped over that… He deserves SOME prison time, but not life. There was obviously a huge power imbalance there, and if he ever refused the abuse and/or tried to help, he likely would’ve faced consequences himself. At the bare minimum he needs counseling and therapy, hopefully while serving AT LEAST a few years… Idk, I just wanna know what happened…
Edit: after reading the comments it appears he’s an evil sociopath just like his mom. Idk, I’d have to hear the whole trial. It’s important to know if he was a willing participant or if he felt like he was forced into it. Those details def matter

Everyone is asking the same question, so I thought I’d answer… The reason she was allowed to watch again was bc the first one was seemingly just an awful chain of unfortunate events (her falling asleep, the grandpa being gone, the kid figuring out how to unscrew the child lock, then running straight out to the water first thing). If any 1 of those 4 things didn’t happen he’d still be alive. So it’s easy to see how it was viewed as a tragic accident, assuming they’re telling the truth. Hence her getting another chance.
The second baby however was NOT a tragic accident or a chain of unfortunate events. As someone who’s listening to the story only hearing about the baby left in the car, we just assume the first one was also negligent. I’m not saying the granny is necessarily innocent, but based on what I’ve heard on this story, the first one didn’t look overly neglectful. So based on that, she was given another chance thinking that SURELY she would be extra hyper vigilant after what happened (as any of the rest us would be).
IMO the gma is developing dementia, Alzheimer’s, or some other form of mental illness that causes her to forget important things. She should never be allowed to watch children ever again, or be in charge of anything important.

Seems like 90% of ppl took what he said completely out of context and/or have never been to a restaurant bar before… In big cities like Nashville, they have tons of kid friendly restaurants that also happen to sell alcohol. THATS what he was talking about. Not those Irish pubs where ppl get into fights, not the adult nightclubs with dance floors and adults hooking up, not a strip club, or a college bar; or whatever other sexual or violent bar that you are thinking about… He was talking about a high end restaurant where families go for dinner that also sell alcohol. It’s VERY common for them to sit u in the bar if the ‘restaurant’ tables are full, OR some ppl request to sit in the bar (even if they’re not drinking) bc they wanna watch the TV or for some other reason. Also, the ppl who take their kids there are only having 1 or 2 with dinner, not getting full blown blasted… I can’t believe how so many ppl don’t understand the difference between having 1 or 2 drinks with dinner at a restaurant VS going to a hookup nightclub with violent and sexual drunkards (I’m assuming it’s cuz u live in a small town where they only have ghetto pubs, and only crazy violent drunkards go there); in which case I can completely see ur take on this. But just realize that things are completely different in different towns, cities, states, and countries…

@user-ep3fo5vw1v theres that, and also the fact that no one likes to speak ill of the dead, ESP a murder victim… Notice how ALL of these true crime channels, the family ALWAYS talks about how great the victim was? No one wants to bring up faults or flaws from someone who’s been murdered. Which I get, but they should’ve at least acknowledged it during virginias sentencing to show that they were all mistreated, and also the fact that they never got her help for her mental issues despite them being VERY obvious. They ignored her and turned a blind eye, I can say that with certainty... Who doesn’t notice all the lies about the fake jobs, not having money despite “working”, the fake pregnancy, her never leaving the house and becoming a recluse, her gambling addiction, etc, etc?!? Not saying they deserved it, but they turned a blind eye on her her whole life then paid the ultimate price 🤷♀️
