In future, they may work together to reduce various leverages that China has. For example, refining rare earth metals. As of now, there is no military angle to it and no mention of it. It's clear that Chinese military capabilities aren't a problem really. Why form a military alliance against it? And Let's not forget India is part of other groups like BRICS , SCO (with China) etc each with different objectives just like Quad.
