  1.  @zeus-no2hv  He is partially right. One needs to understand though that India can't consume all the byproducts that the refineries produce. The cheap oil that India buys, which comes at a geopolitical cost and needs a lot of maneuvering to be achieved, is NOT done so that private companies can profit from it. It' was done to keep inflation arising from supply side constraints low.
