@vsr3777 That would be a starting point. It would also be important to know what economic policies will they implement, cause if their plan is to distribute free electricity rather than building infra, then probably, voting for them isn't a good idea.

@anilkapoor1655 Sir, he speaks for an audience, which isn't you. The fact that you judge him based on that shows how little you understand how politics works and how policy is implemented. You see what they say. I see what they do and how they implement. Let's be honest, Rahul wouldn't even be a contender if he didn't belong to the family. If you want to support someone, how about you support someone who isn't there purely because of nepotism. I am sure there are many within Congress who fit that bill.

The growth rate that you took for granted under the Congress rule was achieved only because of the policies of NDA. But after the 2008 economic meltdown, Congress shit so hard on the economic that it took years to get the inflation down to sub 4% and turn the credit cycle. You would know that off course if you had any clue about how economy works and India's economic policies and their impact in the last 25 years.

@nikhilspeaking You are right. I am an engineer. But, no prizes for guessing that. In a country like India, there are many engineers. For example, Raghuram Rajan is an engineer with no econ. education. I think I am doing fine with that respect. As for "few bold moves", I don't know about you, but GST, IBC, privatisation of govt entities, like Air India and the banks, opening up the mining sector, privatising discoms, changing labour laws etc are pretty bold moves when it comes to economy. I would love to know what should the Modi govt have done for you to say, they know what they are doing and aren't clueless.

But if this is the criteria for someone to choose between BJP and Congress, then don't you think the argument goes against Congress? .. Cause any objective person would know, Congress can't pass anything in the parliament. Manmohan Singh literally said this "I have done my best, given the constraints of coalition govt."

@anilkapoor1655 I have checked the numbers. Have you? .. Inflation, for example, was at 10% for 3 years straight from 2012 to 2014. Modi spent his first term controlling inflation and bringing it down to 2% which went up to 8% or so after the pandemic but is back to less than 4.5%. Don't just run around shitting. Try to read up.

1. The "strategic en bloc voting by minorities" is impossible to replicate at the national level, given the state of politics. And people vote differently when Modi is on ticket v/s when he isn't. 2. That he can't. 3. You can't learn from his knowledge, primarily cause it's non-existent.
