@raghavendravishwas5929 Indira's popularity had plummeted after 2 years of emergency. Even the most recent CSDS Lokniti survey shows Modi's popularity is intact. People are took quick to draw similarities between two completely different situation just so they can make a point.

@mahalingamarunachalam9428 It's delusional to even suggest that.

I don't see Yogi as the PM of India as a possibility ever.
2
@PseudoProphet Yes they did. And they were proved wrong because of multiple reasons. Not even one of those reasons hold true for Yogi. The only reason why people even consider him as a possible face is because he is the CM of UP, which has 80 Loksabha seats. But that's not a good enough reason to say Yogi has a chance.
2
@PseudoProphet None of those reasons are good enough for people of India (not UP) to make him the PM. "He can easily be the next PM." - His blind followers would say that. Modi said I have developed Gujarat. Make me the PM and I will apply the Gujarat's development model through out India. What's Yogi's story? .. I will carry out encounter killings through India just like I did in UP? .. I hope you know security isn't an issue people relate with through out India. That is a UP specific problem.

@PseudoProphet And given the name that you have chosen it's pretty clear where your priorities are and why you are so determined to believe Yogi can become India's PM.

I don't think Modi will retire midway into his third term.If he does it will be suicidal both for BJP as well as India. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Modi fights 2029 elections riding on good economic performance which is likely to happen provided there are no accidents on the world stage.

@Avinashm7 Only dumb morons with limited education think ad hominems, unsubstantiated or otherwise, are counter arguments. In popular lingo these morons are called trolls.

@PseudoProphet "UP is also going to have it's own development story by the time Yogi throws his hat in the ring for the PM chair. " - Very unlikely. I follow India's economy very closely. I see where the investments are going. I know that some good work has been done in UP but would it be enough for people to buy "UP's development story" .. I don't think so. Gujarat, for example, was growing at 14% YoY on an average from 2002 to 2014. It has been growing 12% YoY on an average from 2014 to 2023. What was UP's average growth rate under Yogi from 2017 to 2022? . 3.5% Average. With UP's low base it should grow at 20% or more for people to believe in "UP's development story". I don't see that happening in the next 6 years.
