@user-rh5jp2sh4s "It's interesting how you jumble up Islamic extremism on oneside and Communism on the other, both of which are on the OPPOSITE!!!" - They are on opposite side of the ideological spectrum but they are in alliance within India and around the world. They obliterate each other only after one gains complete control within a sovereign political entity. These are basics that someone forming political opinions should know.

"Maldivian people said no for foreign troops because they see them as a threat to their independence and freedom." - 72 Troops stationed in Maldives for maintenance of your equipment are a "threat". How stupid does one have to be to believe that argument? " Indian media is very radical very combative very hostile, very biased." - Indian Media isn't Indian government. The problem started when people from Maldivian government abused Indians and Indian PM. Don't forget that you explicitly started it.

@supergroovy8346 I am still waiting to hear how were the troops a threat to Maldivian freedom. As for "couldn't help with drug or extremism" .. India, as a matter of policy, doesn't use the military on foreign soil after having learnt from Sri Lankan Civil War. Use of military against civilian population, whether they are drug lords or extremists and whether it done with the permission of local government, always leads to resentment among people. India might agree to train Maldivian soldiers but it will never take military action even if Maldivian government asks it to do so.

@user-rh5jp2sh4s "Nepal and also Maldives have had very good relations with India for decades. Question is why the uneasy relationship with India and all it's neighbours, with some there more issues, with others are less, but there is a general tendency." - The reason isn't internal to India. The reason is change in the geopolitical situation. The nationalist politics of neighboring countries is natural to take an anti-India stance given the overwhelming power differential. In Nepal it's Oli that's Anti-India. In Bangladesh it's BNP. And in Maldives it's Muizzu's party PNC. Both in Bangladesh and Maldives the anti-India parties have a pro-Islamist/jamat bent. And in Nepal anti-India are pro-China/communist parties. In each of these countries, the other side is Pro-India. The difference is, previously, China wasn't a real option for the anti-India parties. More recently, the changes in Geopolitics and increase in China's economic and diplomatic abilities has given anti-India parties an option which wasn't available before. That's the reason US has started showing interest in these countries as well. US established an embassy in Male in 2023. US had high profile visits to Nepal and joint exercises with the Nepali Army.

@supergroovy8346 "hen the citizens see the government as the problem, they will also see Indian government as part of the problem. So the nation voted against corruption." - That's fine. That's what being a democracy is like. Honestly, this recent incident is a temporary hiccup that is unlikely to derail India-maldives relations. The problems are happening because the world is in a geopolitical transition and asia is the arena. A lot of turbulent times ahead.
