"The real Indian wishlist is to use Pakistan as transit to reach energy rich markets of Central Asia where it can also sell its products. " - Not really. That is the wish list of delusional "Pak Patriots" who believe India can't survive or prosper with having access to Central Asia (what %age or global GDP is that?). Keep living in that delusion and keep talking about "Geo-economics" without having any diplomatic relations with your most important neighbor. I wish you good luck. "Any idea how much time and energy consuming to offload and re-load containers?" - Yes. We do it all the time. "The current effort is a bluff. " - Like the CPEC? .. Why not keep using the sea to supply goods to China? That would be atleast 10 times cheaper than doing it using land. What does Gwadar port connect to?.. There is no economy and hence no buyers or no manufacturers to export finished goods behind it.

@pakpatriots7299 "Pakistan already offered in last SAARC meetup...solve Kashmir issue and have all the transit." - That's not an offer. That's ransom demand. SAARC is dead for India and India has moved on to other groupings to foster connectivity with South Asia without Pakistan in the equation. For India, Kashmir issue is settled. Terrorism coming from Pakistan is the only thing that India will talk about. Period. Anyone in Pakistan interested in Ifs, buts and conditionalities can stew in economic soup that they find themselves in for as long as they want. Pakistan doesn't have anything that India needs. India is not in an hurry. "P.S. How will India reach Central Asia?" - Why do Pakistanis believe that reaching Central Asia is India's primary goals and that it's extremely important for India to access the puny economies of Central Asia and that India would concede anything to achieve that ?? .. What's leading to this delusion?

@pakpatriots7299 Issues are never solved between equal powers. Issues are solved when the power differential between two powers is big enough that one power forces the other to accept it's terms. That's "solving" an issue. And the Chinese are doing all they can now cause they know they won't be able to do much after 10 years. Geopolitics is a Bully's game, Modi or not.

@kinshuksharma2601 "Is it your assertion that 5 nations (and their reps.) don't realize the "common sensical" inviability of the project? " - That's exactly what his assertion is. No one knows what's best for India more than PakPatriots and moronic and delusional analysts like Shahid Raza.
