@photosynth359 "Reservation especially the kind we have now, kills any chance of a merit based society." - It doesn't really. Reservations only apply to govt. organizations. Indian Economy is largely held in private sector. No one is stopping anyone from innovating or running start ups. Those are already merit based. Govt. run colleges like IITs or IIMs won't remain the only elite universities/college in India. There are private universities/colleges are coming up which are going to be equally elite. This obsession with reservations comes from a 'shortage' mentality and it's great for politicians to exploit. If everyone has a decent university to go to and a decent job which pays the same and has similar job guarantees as govt. jobs then people will shift (this is happening already). Neither removing reservations nor getting more reservations matter when it comes to policy.

@panzerofthelake506 I don't think I can explain what's wrong with your arguments on a youtube comment section unless I write a huge essay.I don't think that would be very productive. So, i will just say that I completely disagree with whatever you have said. Let's agree to disagree.

@pardeeptandon That's an extreme ideological view that comes from Communists and Amberkarites. And like all extremists this view is both dangerous and stupid.
