People can speak freely instead of toeing the line, which exactly why we should carefully listen to what he has to say, whether we agree or disagree. "what he did when he was the NSA?" - Clearly, something that you didn't think was right. But you see he is an expert with vast experience and was privy to information which you weren't. So, I would conclude that your disagreement with him is more to do with your political preference than strategic understanding of the situation.

Hope you know that he is talking about the future . He did what was required, based on the situation and country's limits, when he was their in the establishment. What is preventing you from understanding this simple fact?

@gagansingla11 When you talk about "rectifications", you speak with the assumption that a deep study of history would reveal what you think is the "correct" history. If it doesn't, will you be willing to accept it?? .. Maybe the answer to that is yes, I am not so sure about everyone else. Let's not kid ourselves to believe these "rectifications" that we are talking about haven't been brought because of political motives. That's why other "rectifications" aren't talked about. One example is, of what Marathas did to the Bengalis. I have never heard anyone talk of "rectifying" that cause it's politically harmful. " Shouldn't we learn something from our past instead of ignoring it" - Yes, we should. One Big lesson would be to not fight among ourselves and weaken ourselves especially when being invaded. I am sure, a few Hindu Kings together could have stopped any "invasion". They couldn't. Why? They were busy fighting easy other. The exact same thing happened when the Britishers came.

Btw, irrespective of what the govt. says, the borders with Bangaldesh (& Manymar) is highly porous and no amount of CAA/NRC excercise can change that. That was brought in to shore up votes in the border states but that isn't going to be a solution. G Also, your views on Bangladesh clearly tells you know jackshit about the country and view them only as a Muslim Majority country.

50% people in the comment section are stuck at what "Mughals were not invaders" and another 25% is stuck at "why didn't he do x,y,z in his tenure". The morons don't get it that he isn't a politician who would say what you want to hear or convince you that what he actually did was the right thing to do. Cause he doesn't need to get votes. There isn't anything new there. Majority Indians still think in terms of identity. Take a few million Bengalis and give them voting rights in Maharastra and you will see how fast this issue becomes relevant.

@Abhi RajBPTA was signed in 1993. GF said China is India's no. 1 Enemy in 1998. But China didn't start behaving belligerently until 2012, which is what I have said. What I have said is factual. Problem lies with your comprehension.
