Absolutely. An ability China lacks and will keep lacking.

@techihandle Highly unlikely.

Stephen lee As an Indian, I hope the same.

@parvadhami980 You seem like a young kid in hist late teens or early 20s. I am going to excuse the stupidity in that question cause you are being naive.

@techihandle ".Its not necessary to open whole country but only few special economic zones where international talent can work with different set of legislation than mainland China can do the trick for them in future." - What you are describing here is basically what Hongkong was. And after they have done in Hong Kong since 2019 doesn't inspire confidence that the "Chinese leadership is accepting the understanding of one nation two systems." This couldn't be further from the truth. "it's very much likely, shenzen is silicon valley of hardware in the world already" - You see how you refer to shenzhen as the Silicon Valley? .. That's cause the actual Silicon valley lies somewhere else. And it's expected for China to do well in Hardware especially since they were a manufacturing hub for so long. But that's besides the point made in the video, which says China lacks "talent". So the real question, imo, is whether or not talent will be willing to migrate to contribute to China's plans. I find it unlikely.

@techihandle "Seeing china through lense of Godi media is fooling one self." - Seeing China through the Glittery Chinese Prism where every possible extension of state is used to craft opinions like yours, is fooling one self as well. And jumping on to label someone as "bhakt" or "Godi media" without having had even a single conversation speaks more of your political bias than anything else. Travelling to Shenzhen can put you in awe, I understand that. But what it certainly doesn't do, is make you an expert of Chinese Tech, it's future, it's economics or it's competitors.

Stephen lee West is a euphemism for US, only another country.

@techihandle Well, we can always laugh at what the other one said. That keeps both the parties happy. Peace.

@oceanwave4502 That's like saying Iron is inferior to glass cause it bends. That Social/Political system is more resilient than top down communism ever will be.

@stee896 Let's agree to disagree. I think you have a very narrow understanding of the situation. P.S: I don't disagree with much of the things you have said. But i disagree with the conclusions. And I wasn't talking about " Indian going to US for IT job".

@alvino2211 Only lame f*cks who haven't met me think I lack exposure.

@alvino2211 I agree. India needs more people like me.

@parvadhami980 I would say that thinking about staying back in India cause you want to 'serve India', isn't the right way of thinking about it. You need to go where ever you can reach your full potential, that maybe within India or outside of it. It doesn't matter whether you stay or migrate abroad, cause it benefits India either way. And one can always migrate back. Creating artificial mental barriers because of pre-conceived notion of what it means to serve India, ends up destroying the potential that would have otherwise been achieved. Also, the people who chest thump by pointing at people like Sundar Pichai and Abhijit Banerjee to show how talented Indians are and how they would have done wonders for India if they had stayed back are the morons who don't understand the simple fact that they achieved what they did because the went abroad and had to compete with the best in the world in the first place. If they had stayed back, these chest thumpers would never have known about them cause they wouldn't have been able to do what they did. These are the same morons who, without even the basic understanding of Economics, think boycotting all Chinese products is a great idea. Their stupidity knows no bounds.
1
"but only if it is for benevolent causes." - The fact that you even think that's a possibility speaks to your stupidity. No sane Indian would "love to see China dominate tech" unless the person wishes to be colonised once again.

Stephen lee "India has always been a colony." - I know the Chinese Worldview and it's view of India. I disagree with it and whatever Chinese view is won't stop from geopolitical and economic realities from playing out. Taking you dumb trolling which irrelevant to the topic of discussion elsewhere. Probably, Bilili.
