@5:50 Since we were wearing raincoats during rainy season we should always keep wearing a raincoat, irrespective of whether it is summer or winter. "We shouldn't tinker with it." Right minister?

@amans5422 Nope. That's Not what Govt. is suggesting. You didn't even get the analogy.

@amans5422 Nope. Govt. is giving you an option to buy (or sell in this case) whatever you want to buy. If you choose to keep buying raincoats while the sun is shining or it's winter, so be it. But today you don't have that option. What's available are only raincoats and people who are selling raincoats don't want anyone else to provide any other option which would be in direct competition to what they are selling. The narrative of corporates hoarding and exploiting farmers is utter bullshit, spread by people with vested interests and believed by individuals, who although are well intentioned, have a very superficial understanding of the situation and hence end up believing the bullshit that they are being fed. This is an economic policy decision. There is strong data backing the decision. These same proposals have been made, debated & discussed with all stakes holders for two decades now. Any Economist worth one's salt, supports these reforms expect a very few, who don't. Anyone who says there are Economists on both sides of the arguments is lazy enough to not find out that it's not true. Anyone talking about Swaminathan Committee when it comes to MSP, hasn't read the entire document. They wouldn't use the same document otherwise. @amans5422 I loose respect for anyone who falls for their Adani-Ambani Rhetoric. In 1970s is was Tata-Birla and today it's Ambani-Adani. It's as if both became business magnates after 2014 and can't find any other area to invest in, other than Agriculture.
2
@amans5422 Well, the value that you put on earning my respect is what I put in earning yours. That's mutual. It's very well known that they have good relationship with the current govt. But saying the govt. is bring in reforms which have been discussed and agreed upon for ages now, is purely to benefit Adani-Ambani is dumbfuckery. And I don't track Adani cause his business are in sectors J don't understand but Ambani's rise in wealth is purely his own doing and would have happened irrespective of who is in power. They either don't understand how the wealth mechanics work or are extremely dishonest. They are same people who said Ambani's Wealth multiplies as India's GDP drops. What a dumb statement that is. Extremely dumb. Don't be surprised if Ambani replaces Elon Musk & Jeff Bezos to become the richest person in the world in another 5 years cause that's bound to happen, irrespective of who is in power and how is India's economy doing.

@amans5422 Why do you think govt. would have a say in who gets to invest in a Publicly listed company??.. You must be out of your mind, if you think anyone would invest in India if govt. starts interfering in deals between to publicly listed company. Less investment would mean less jobs, but then I am sure you will be the first to crib about unemployment in India. And where is this "monopoly" bullshit coming from ? .. Jio competes with companies which are behemoths, like Amazon which joined hands with another behemoth Airtel. You would rather have American corporates monopolising Indian Markets rather than an India one. Everything else is Ok, but God forbidding if an Indian Corporate is winning the race, that's "stifling competition". Where the fuck were you when govt. let Google to monopolise the Mobile OS Market ? Recently, govt. Also allowed 100% FDI in all Airtel subsidiary, but that's Ok too, right?.. As long as it's not Adani or Ambani, you won't talk bullshit. Bullshit starts only when then start getting involved. Then all the negatives of Capitalism will be highlighted. STOP making up issues where there are none.
2
@amans5422 I wasn't defending Adani. I was speaking against the rhetoric that these farm laws are being implemented to benefit Adani-Ambani. You would know that if you had half a brain. I have done my homework on the Farmlaws, which is the topic of discussion. I hope you do that too.
2
@amans5422 As for me being on the "wrong" side, my side is supported by data. Yours is supported by rhetoric. So, it's clear who is on what side.
2
@onamsair1194 It's purely a Political movement fueled by lobbies who vested interests are hurt by these reforms.
2
@onamsair1194 "Farmers throwing their produce because they didn't even get breakeven price".. Have you stopped to wonder why that happens ? If your solution to that is a gauranteed MSP extended to all produce (why just have MSP for a few select produce), then you might as well propose selling all Indians to prostitution to fund the MSP. Cause that's what it's going to take.

@Indian44-c8n No it doesn't.

The video was from one side of the camp. It was supposed to be biased.

16th in fact.

@abhilashpanda6812 Depends on what you mean by "modifications".
1
@serenity1328 It's you who lives under a rock. Comparing Developed Economies who don't really grow & have only 2% of population depending on Agriculture to India, which is a developing Economy, needs to grow at 7% to pull 20 million of it's citizens out of poverty and has 55% of population depending on Agriculture. STOP comparing policies of two completely different countries and pretending to be smart. You aren't. And NO the tax won't be used to subside corporates. Only a moron would believe that. You must be from one of those "corporates will hoard produce & artificially increase price" bridage. That's such a dumb argument that I loose respect for a person as soon as he/she makes it.
1
@abhilashpanda6812 But the process of making Agriculture more Scientific & lucrative comes after the reforms. And it's a long process. But that can't start until the reforms are done.

@nithintprasad8572 And in Education & Healthcare the bottom limit should be ensured by Socialism & top limit should be ensured by Capitalism.
