  5.  @bigfigher  "My understading is that most of the countries thought exactly opposite." - I think you have made that pretty clear. "Many internatioal medias even wrote 'where is indian govt'. " - Quoting international media isn't a very smart gesture. They have a habit of showing India in a bad light to divert attention from the failures of their own governments. "India's healthcare system is not that bad. States like kerala handled the situation much much better" - Kerala has a very high HDI and it's healthcare is much better than other states. But when you were talking about 'floating bodies' you were referring UP. You can't paint all over India with the same brush. But it's an undeniable fact that Indian healthcare system is much less equipped as compared to all the other countries and the their media houses you are mentioning. "why Modi did not address the country when it was going though one of the worst periods in its entire history. " - How is this a requirement? .. How would the PM addressing the country have made difference in medical handling of the situation? "On the contracy, Biristh, American, French, German, Italian leaders... all of them addressed people through media on daily basis when the they face the worst of worst." - Firstly, why compare India with countries with 25x of India's per capita GDP? .. And how does it matter if they addressed the people? .. They didn't do very well in handling the situation. I lived in UK until very recently and my sister lives in Canada. I am speaking from personal experience. Not sure why are you glorifying the activity of 'addressing people'. As if that saves lifes more than vaccinating people, which is what India did.
