@tat3179 I hate to break it to you, but China is nowhere close to being a military superpower. There is only one military superpower and that is USA. The difference between the two is so large that with all it's military build up, China will only be able to catch up to US sometime after 2050. That is the truth.
As for being a economic global power, there is no denying that. But China has overcapacity in production as it produces for the world, not for it's own consumption, which is at most 2 Trillion Dollar in size as compared to 12 Trillion Dollar for US and Europe each(I am talking about the market size, not economy). One needs to ask, what happens if US and Europe find an alternative to China? .. Who is China going to sell to then?
And as for "ganging up" on China, China brought it on itself but claiming everything by coming up with a lame logic of "it has been a part of china since ancient times". And India is looking after it's own interest by making sure it has enough to deter China (which it can even now), with spending as little on military as possible. So, it's finding allies which can help it do the same.
If you say India doesn't matter for China, then that makes me comfortable. Ignore India. That makes our life easier. India doesn't want to get into any military conflict unless absolutely necessary.
