That doesn't matter. The lobby worked. Lobby doesn't work when there is no version of truth to lobby for.for example, No mount of lobby would work if one wanted US to declare Dalai Lama as a terrorist.

Unbiased news doesn't mean free from ideological and personal bias.

@techybro1141 It just means the news platform covers all the opinions across the spectrum on a topic and doesn't serve one ideological master. It doesn't ignore facts & news contrary to a certain narrative. It's interviewers don't try to coerce guests into saying something that goes well with their own narrative. Individual biases might, however, remain. That's personal opinion and a person can't be completely objective while reporting.

@amulcool7229 US wasn't always anti-China. It was the US which started recognising China after Kessinger used his visits to Pakistan as cover to start back channel talks with China during the Bangaldesh war. China wouldn't have been the manufacturing hub that it is today and wouldn't have joined the WTO if US was anti-China. Also, Lama is Noble peace prize winner and hasn't presided over or ordered a genocide. Let's not compare things which can't be compared.

@soujanyamuralidhar5265 "A foreign govt at the onset will believe the govt.." - That never happens. The fact is, Modi was the Chief Minister then. He didn't call in the Army for 3 days. Vajpayee wanted to sack him. These facts were enough for people to perceive him as someone who had some kind of involvement. That's why the lobby worked. Period. Whether of not he actually did it. Whether he was absolved by courts. Whether the govt. lobbied against him for their own political benefit, is irrelevant.
