  1. Very true. His answers are based on the assumption that we will always use coal to generate electricity, the discoms will never be privatized or made profitable. Both are highly unlikely.

  2.  @AkilanKamarajan  "even with coal based generation, Power plants have better efficiency than Internal Combustion engines." - True, but if you account for transmission losses , which are unavoidable, and efficiency of the charger and batteries, the internal combustion engine is more efficient by a large percentage.
