  1. When the police don't or can't be bothered to come out to a shoplifting incident then the criminals know they'll get away with it & do more! Shops put up prices because of this. This may be related but I got a bottle of Branston pickle jar for £1.95 recently (price on shelf),the cashier said it was £2.35, showed him the price & he gave it to me for that price. This was the small chunks jar,the large chunks jar stayed at £1.95,how can any shop justify a 40p hike!
