I am 48I was born and raised in Manhattan. Have lived in 8 States and 6 Countries. But I’m never looked as “American” outside of NYC because I’m not white. (Spain descendent)

@ushireborn It’s ‘Murica, so considered is the right word. It’s just funny to me to see how our folks and official government forms need to sub-categorize race, ethnicity, etc. Super weird. Born blocks away from the 1st Capital of our Country, served for over 30 years in the DoD in different branches and capacities, but still not American enough 😂🤣😂

@ushireborn Lived in NY, SC, TX, CO, NJ, CA, FL, WY I am referring to it as in general terms. Because I don’t have “Caucasian” features, I am considered Mexican or black, even though my skin is white and my great grandfather arrived to NY from Spain. 😂 That’s just how’Murica is.

@mperezmcfinn2511 Lived in San Antonio for 9 years. Loved it there. But as I mentioned in the post above, great grandpa came from Spain, my skin is white, but in TX and everywhere else I am Mexican or Black. 🤣
