Many people with full time jobs in the US are still poor.

I know many folks in the military that receive some type of welfare. Mainly WIC.

When I worked at West Point in NY, I lived at an apartment complex in which I was the only car leaving the parking lot in the mornings to go to work. I would come home from work, and all the cars were still there....lol. My across the hall neighbor received Section 8, free utilities, free cable tv, WIC, food assistance, and $500 on a debit card every month. I had a full time Federal Government job, and this guy made way more than me by staying home.

@Rommie26 Or full time job should at least cover the basics. How do you explain a military member qualifying for WIC? Military already pays the rent, health care, food stipend.......and many Service Members still need WIC.

@ericochoa4271 Or you can look at how labor laws have changed in the last 30 years, how cost of living has increased exponentially, while pay has remained stagnant. The answer is not simple.

@ericochoa4271 But some of the people with full time jobs, and living in their cars, are engineers. How much more school you recommend ?

@MusicLover-ui9sm True. I supervised an Airman that received WIC and food stamps. Had 3 kids. I still don't understand it to this day. Military pays house, utilities, health care, and a food stipend .....and some folks still qualify for these programs.

Out of control rent prices, house price bubbles, outrageous child care costs,, medical costs, stagnant wages, etc etc

@michelleclark8099 The person was my brother in law. And most of the people in that apartment complex were in the same situation as him. Not cherry picking.....firsthand witness. And I did not say anything negative.....I only stated facts of what he received a month, and compared it to my income. Simple math.

@AngelaMarie-777 I'm beyond red pill....lol. Black pill.

james harm Not exactly. The original comment was in reference to a household where both have full time jobs, and are still poor, living in a relative's house, or out of their cars. Hundreds of thousands live like this in the USA 🇺🇸

@cumbco Yeah...that was weird. I posted 1+1=2.........and all of a sudden I was sent to hell.

@michelleclark8099 Not the point. Just giving an example of proof of what is shown in the video. Total assistance was $3k a month....this was in 2002. Maybe the problem was that I was underpaid at my federal job. And there was nothing wrong with this person in particular. Fully capable, and black belt martial arts instructor.

@michelleclark8099 I guess I'm military retired ....and now a crab also. Thanks for the inspirational words.

@truthliesopinions4591 I'm retired military, and married to a Service Member.

@michelleclark8099 I grew up in the projects in Manhattan as a kid....I've seen it.

@michelleclark8099 Wow. I just shared a personal example of my brother in law......from 2002.......to confirm what was mentioned in the video when it covered NY. Not complicated.
1
@michelleclark8099 And since you feel so compelled to defend the person, and to know WHY he was receiving assistance, and you have already condemed me to hell and beyond........ He was faking an injury.....did it for 5 years.....had insurance agents following him to catch him in the act of faking .....meanwhile he received $3k a month in benefits. I knew several other people doing the same, and exchanging tactics and ideas. Yep......NY.

@aerotechify The examples given are from people who are professionals.

@jasonjames4254 Definitely agree. In this case, we are only referring to the working poor in the USA.

If only that were true. Plenty of evidence and research showing that for the last 50 years wages have not kept up at all with cost of living increases. In that time period housing costs have increased 1000%, education 2500%, plus food, utilities, childcare, etc etc etc. Wages went up 10%
