  2. I lived 2 minutes away from where the Balangiga Bells were displayed in FE Warren Air Force Base. I was there in November 2018 when the Philippines Ambassador and Defense Secretary Mattis held the official ceremony to return the Bells.

  3. The bombing of Pearl Harbor was nothing compared to the attack on the Philippines that same day. But when Congress was asked to support retaliation in the Philippines , it was turned down, because it would've been impossible to convince the American people to support a war to defend brown people. So the War Department used the attack on Pearl Harbor instead, to rally up the masses.
