I’m in the military, 20 years so far, and there is absolutely no wokeness going on. We went from DADT to folks openly expressing their sexual preferences. But other than that, the rest has stayed almost the same.

@bubsmp Not a need. But under DADT, folks had the mindset of “you do you” and it’s nobody’s business. When Congress repealed it in 2011, it changed to service members not having to live in closets.

@jody6851 Cadets are not in the Service. Once they graduate, then they will fall under the DoD rules, which are 100% public.

@MisterMonsterMan What people say is different from what actual reality is. Military guidance, code of conduct, regulations, etc, are all public information. There is absolutely no need for hear-say when the official source is readily available.

@bmjv77 Definitely the generational changes could be perceived as wokeness. Lots of new changes are jaw dropping (hands in pocket, appearance refs, etc). We still have boomers in charge, and zoomers as the new Airmen. 2 completely different world views and life views. I quit on January 1 2023, lol.
