  1. I moved out of Florida last year but not because of DeSantis. Florida culture is incredibly backwards and it’s very frustrating. But I lived in Fort Walton Beach, which is basically Alabama. Maybe it’s not as abnormal in the real Florida (lower half).

  2.  @allykatt1849  I guess I moved to the wrong part of Florida (I’m originally from Manhattan). I moved to the Panhandle, it’s a whole different world there. I do have many relatives in Orlando/Tampa/Miami and other normal areas of the State. I have lived in 8 States and 6 Countries, the Panhandle has been my worst living experience.

  3. Happened a lot, but it wasn’t a political talking point. Landlords using all tactics to displace renters to put in new tenants at a higher price point.

  5.  @blackeyedturtle  I escaped the FL Panhandle ( lower Alabama) 😅 last year and now living my best life in Tokyo. And cost of living is half of what it was in Florida, so my bank account also happy.

  10.  @nunabusiness9002  It’s been in the news for about 15 years now. Any quick search will give you plenty of results. I do understand that majority of people like to stay in their bubbles, so only those who are aware would know that this is business as usual for unscrupulous landlords.
