Typical USA economic model. Make profits at the cost of other people's lives....then pay a minimal fine....and do it all over again.

I’m a Manhattan native and now live in Western Tokyo. Been here 3 months. Our country is so far behind on so many things, it’s embarrassing. US is like 200 years away from reaching civil society status. Europe, Japan and S. Korea reached that stage many decades ago. I also lived in Germany and in Suwon S. Korea.

I worked 12 years for the pharmaceutical industry...and it was the same. Push a new drug massively, make billions....then people start dying.....do a recall on the drug, and move on to the next. I quit the job when the push focused on putting as many as 4 and 5 year old kids possible on add/adhd drugs. It hit home when I was called by the school nurse and during the talk she recommended to put my 5 year old on these. I was surprised that the industry had infiltrated schools. Of course I did not listen to the nurse, And my kiddo is in middle school now and has always been in honor roll.

I stopped cruising on Carnival in 2004....but this ship will definitely bring me back.

Drug price is the least of our problems. The intermediary health insurance companies are the largest problem in the US. Adding billions of dollars to the cost of healthcare with their bureaucracy.

Only item I buy there is fries. Everything else I tried once and not worth buying again.

@StBatu The banks mafia have been in control for a very long time. They control the issuing of currency ....so yes....very difficult for them to fall......but the fiat system is unsustainable.

Oh oh.....looks like India will be invaded by us next.

Wall St wiped out the middle class in 2008, and doing it again now. But they try to explain why a middle class oriented store is struggling. Lol

@Cntr-Cmd-Delete Milkshakes at smashburger are way better, but I do like the lemon one they have on menu now. Chicken sandwich does not have anything unique from any other place. The sauce is good....which I use on the fries.

@Jose Lino Yep. Have done that. Add stuff to make up for the shortcomings of the sandwich.

@Jose Lino I grew up in food rich environments, so eating chicken strips or similar items were never a thing. I also lived in Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean....so too many options of great food that did not include chicken strips. It's just sad to see my fellow US citizens lined up at a chick fil a. Almost as if the great depression never ended....lol

The US presence in the Philippines makes them more of a target to China.

When your Customer Service booth becomes your main store register......you know it's the end.

Eventually....the monopoly mafia will fall

@StBatu I have... Many. What I wrote is 100% fact. Private banks are the ones that create money. Finance 101.

Marcos grew up sheltered in Hawaii when the US protected his Dictator dad from being imprisoned.
