  2. Having more than 2 parties would force the creation of coalitions, developing into a real compromise. But this will destroy the 50% against 50% status quo that keeps the very few in power. Those few will not allow the duopoly to end.

  5. They have never had a chance to become a state. Congres has 100% power of making them a state, free, or transfer it to another country. The consent of the inhabitants is not required per US Constitution.

  6. According to the anti-Bernie comments here Canada will be the next Venezuela. So you all think that President Bernie will do this to the US? And the Republican House and Senate will vote yes? I agree that the republicans in Congress don't do any governing, but I'm sure they will not let Bernie become a Dictator. Have some hope in the Republicans!

  13.  T Hambone  They did not vote for socialistic welfare. It's a Colony...it dependent of their Masters by nature. They can't become Independent because the US Constitution prohibits it. Only Congress has the power to decide their status. It's called an Unincorporated Territory in the US law books and falls under the Supreme Court decision of Insular Cases from 1902-1903.

  15. The peace deal with the Taliban was signed in February 2020. With an agreed US total withdrawal of May 31 2021. They had 18 + months to prepare. This wasn't a surprise to anyone.
