Yes. Only a little higher.
Gas breaks even considering I drive 80% less here than what I did in WY to get basic necessities.
In WY I filled the tank 6 times a month , here in CA I fill once a month.
Insurance is higher here in CA.
Rent and utilities are higher here in CA, but the pay went up also when moving here, so it did not change those expenses at all. Wages are higher overall here in CA.
Cable/internet is cheaper here in CA than what I was paying in WY.
So overall, only costing me about $200 more a month to live in CA, compared to Cheyenne.
Compare Cheyenne/Napa, quality of life, food, things to do, nature, etc....and $200 a month sounds like a great deal!
Of course I'm not staying here for more than a year or 2.
But needed a break from living in a, cold, windy, snowy, super depressive place.
Next stop after here will be between Asheville NC, or Pensacola.
