Then in 2014, a Mom came to get Concerta prescribed to her 5 year old. I had seen many prescriptions for preteens already....but this one for the 5 year old broke me. I quit a few months later. Then I learned that Big Pharma had a program with school nurses, that encouraged the nurses to advise patents to take their kids to a psychiatrist. I received that call one day before the Concerta incident. I told the nurse that my daughter was 6, and was acting line a 6 year old. My kid never had behavioral issues, so that nurse call was unexpected. Glad I didn't follow the recommendation. Kiddo grew up perfectly normal, and has been a 4.0 student up until now.
