Ironic that the Washington based recommendations are a list of things that the US itself doesn't follow.
1200
Texas makes up for the No Income Tax......with insanely high property taxes.
328
People saving money does not cause a recession. Corporations, banks, and speculators playing with people's savings cause recessions.
127
100%. The reason Iceland recovered fast is because they put the bankers in prison. USA gave them millions in bonuses, and government leadershio positions . One was Secretary of Treasury until last month....lol. So the US bubble continues.
62
@zesky6654 True....those darn Canadian and European commies....lol.
57
That river in the beginning has more traffic than the highways where I live. Wyoming.
46
@knottheory79220 I lived in TX 10 years. TX has the 3rd highest property tax rate in the country (but houses are cheaper). I have lived in Wyoming for 6 years now. Wyoming is also a No Income tax State, and has a 6% sales tax, and low property taxes (like $100/month). But a new built 4br house in TX that sells for $250k........Here in Wyoming, that same exact house would go for $375k+. So the combined mortgage payment + escrow in WY is higher than in TX. Plus in TX the property taxes are at least seen in action being utilized. In 6 years in WY....I have not seen anything done in my neighborhood. To the contrary......budgets and school funding continue to decrease.

El Salvador wasn't "forced" to adopt the US dollar. Lol lol lol lol
41
EE took the wrong turn about 2 years ago. Used to be a great channel. But seems like his content is being forced fed to him ever since.
34
Yes...it's completely possible. The Fed Bank just gave twice that amount to Wall St. Out of thin air.
24
And millions of people in the USA still blindly believe we have a free market system. As long as they keep believing this, the corporations will continue to exploit the system.
23
This channel used to be very good. It has gone off the rails.
21
Pretty much the entire developed world laughs at the USA.
19
That's what the rich make the masses believe. And the masses believe that they, one day, will also be rich....so they defend the rich at all costs.
17
Amazon is the government. Government uses AWS. Bezos sits on the Pentagon advisory board.
16
@StufiBuy I'm a DoD employee. I'm pointing out the obvious....we dont walk our talk.
16
So you are saying...."too big to fail".....so they need government support to stay in business. Pretty much you described the typical US corporations....lol
14
Our folks in the West love to skip these minor facts and pretend that China's great awakening came out of nowhere and for no reason at all.
14
Stock market has always been a ponzi scheme. Difference today is that they openly operate as it, and don't pretend anymore.
12
I lived in S.Korea for a year...2010- 2011.......an hour south of Seoul. Had a fantastic year....amazing country, food, and people.
12
In the US it wasn't the stimulus. It was the eviction and foreclosure moratorium.
12
USA is a giant ponzi scheme. The rich sre buying houses cash, and buying NTFs, because they know it's coming to an end.
12
@koonkoon01 Incorrect. Hawaii was toppled by a US coup in 193, and stolen. (President Bill Clinton apologized for the coup in 1993). Hawaii was Incorporated as a territory of the USA. None of the countries the USA gained from Spain were ever Incorporated. The Congress and the Supreme Court of the USA created the term "Unincorporated " and designated all the new colonies as such. This new law prevented the Philippines from becoming a state, which politicians in the USA were against adding states with brown people, and even described them as savages incapable of self governing. This is documented and available to read from the US Congress website.
11
If you are in the US....wait for the foreclosure Moratorium to end. Prices will go back down.
11
@divinecomedian2 Yes....lol I lived in San Antonio, in the NSISD....they built various professional size stadiums for their high schools.
10
@Croz89 Normal banking services are ok. When I wrote "playing", I meant taking the money to ne uswd on knowingly risky transactions that were not common to banking buisness before. Like what happened in 2008/2009. It was not caused by people's savings. And the root of the problem that caused i2008 collapse was never addressed. So it will happen again.....and they will blame the people again.
9
"Freedom Bucks" Lol The US propaganda is strong
8
We also have socialized capitalism in the USA. Middle class, lower middle class and poor people get upset when this fact is mentioned.
8
The war is between N.Korea-and the US. Not S.Korea. The Armistice was signed without S Korea present.
8
Covid made people realize they were modern slaves. CEOs and Board members became ultrarich during covid...... Workers struggled. Now workers are asking for a piece of the pie...... But the ultrarich would rather go out of business, than pay more.
8
@freemanol No. My comment is referring to the EE channel as a whole, not China titles. His economic videos and philosophy were based, independent, and logical years ago. Then at around 2020, they turned into a script , a narrative, opposite to what EE used to publish. It became curated, as if the content is being given to EE by the IMF/World Bank type curated. Very weird change.
7
@hippomormor I love China Uncensored. My comment is referring to the channel and how it changed a couple of years ago from independent research, to being a mouthpiece to the multinationals.
7
@nick7072 True....even if your house is paid off....if you don't pay property taxes....you can lose your house. House is never yours.
7
@constantineergius1626 I'm not asking for socialism...lol. US wages were already low before covid. The unemployment aid seemed huge, but only because of the terribly low salaries people had. US aid was one of the lowest compared to the countries in the OECD. What I'm saying is that the increased output and productivity of the worker has not been reflected in pay. Wages have barely increased in 40 years....but output has gone up double digits. That difference is captured by the higher ups in the corporation.
7
US middle class has moved more into poverty, not to the upper class.
6
The example of the Indian Engineer is a really bad one. If that Engineer moves to USA for a much larger income, it will still end up living in a car in a parking lot. So more money does not equal better life.
6
In the USA, after 9-11.....airlines were allowed to create all those additional charges for luggage, carry-on, food, etc....so they could recover from the losses after 9-11. Airlines eventually recovered.....but never stopped all the extra charges.
6
@arnigeir1597 Nobody went to prison in the US, and we were the ones who caused the collapse.
6
@arnigeir1597 True. It's because for the regular person in the USA affected by the collapse, seeing Iceland taking action against some of these folks, felt like a dream to us. We were celebrating what we couldn't get done here.
6
@StufiBuy Not sure what you mean. But I'm in the Air Force....year 19.
5
Being in the military is a recession proof job.
5
@MakroTeh Both are correct. There is no denial of Western/Japan damage on China....and also there is no denial of China using these facts as propaganda for internal purposes. North Korea does the same.....we did bomb and killed millions, to a point where our Air Force had nothing else to bomb. So the Kims use that horror to propagandize and control the population.
5
I lived in San Antonio for 10 years, 7th largest city in the US. Zero public transportation. They had an anemic bus system that served a very minute area of town. You need a car there, period.
5
I have an MBA....... Have been job searching for 1 year. I'm to the point of walking into a Walmart for employment, which is my last desperate option.
4
I’m an OG EE subscriber. Have witnessed the channel go down the drain with oligarchy economics propaganda.
4
@feizaijohn9125 Your comment made no sense to me. I watch all kinds of genres and points of views. My comment about EE has nothing to do about China, but it does have to do with how his content changed 2 years ago from independent research, to “insert any 3 letter agency here” script.
4
@MakroTeh Valid points....but don't forget UK and the poppy wars. That caused some damage.
4
Texas has the 3rd highest Property Taxes rate in the USA.
4
Wall St announced back in July that they preferred a Biden win.
4
@PK-lo6ws I don't think that at all. I lived in Canada and Germany. Half of the US thinks that EU and Canada are socialists.
